ANZAC Day at RMYC – Port Hacking
Sunday, April 25 @ 10:30 am - 10:00 pm
25th April 2021
RMYC Port Hacking members and visitors are invited to join us in commemorating the service and sacrifice of all those who have served and are currently serving on Sunday, 25th April 2021 at the RMYC Port Hacking.
Our Anzac Day commemorative ceremony will commence at 10.30am at the RMYC Port Hacking, joined by members of the Royal Australian Navy including a special address from Guest of Honour, Warrant Officer Ben McGregor.
Unfortunately, we will not be participating in Two-Up activities at the RMYC Port Hacking this Anzac Day. NSW Health Officials have enforced strict COVID safety rules and restrictions around facilitating and playing Two-Up, which make it quite difficult for venues to comply with.
The new NSW Health guidelines say that Two-Up must be played outside, there has to be two square metres between participants and the crowd can only place bets with the person next to them, no moving through the crowd. The new rules also insist on the kip, coins and each spinner using hand sanitiser between each throw and that each game is policed by a COVID Marshall. This puts tremendous pressure on where and how we can run Two-Up, as well as it being weather dependent. We have therefore taken the decision, along with many other venues, to not partake in Two-Up this year. Hopefully we can return to normal ANZAC Day trading and services in 2022.
A reminder that Yachties bistro will be open and serving breakfast from 8am. Why not make a morning of it and join us for breakfast followed by our commemorative service for your Anzac Day celebration this year. Bookings are strongly recommended as sittings are strictly numbered, call the team on 9523 9300.
Unfortunately we are fully booked for lunch however we will be taking a waitlist for lunch reservations in the event there are any cancellations. If you would like to join the waitlist, just talk to our team at reception.
We would also like to acknowledge the engagement of life member Gus Liu, who will be representing the RMYC Port Hacking by laying a wreath at the Cronulla Dawn Service this Sunday.
We hope you can join us in commemorating the service and sacrifice of all those who have served and are currently serving this Anzac Day, at the RMYC Port Hacking.
